Privacy Policy

Lightweight ("we", "the app") is a workout tracker built with a local-first philosophy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

1. Data We Collect

Free tier (no account)

• All workout, session, set, and bodyweight data is stored locally on your device in encrypted storage (MMKV). This data never leaves your device unless you upgrade to premium.
• We do not collect any personal information from free users.

Premium tier (cloud sync)

• Email address and name — collected only if you sign in with Apple. Apple provides these once on first sign-in. You may choose to hide your email via Apple's private relay.
• User ID — a randomly generated UUID is used to scope your data on our servers.
• Training data — workouts, sessions, sets, bodyweight logs, and notes are synced to our servers so they can restore on other devices.
• Purchase receipts — handled by RevenueCat and Apple to verify subscription status.
• AI insight prompts — when you request a session review or weekly/monthly report, recent training data is sent to our AI provider to generate the response. This data is not used to train models.

2. Third Parties We Use

• Supabase — database and authentication. Privacy policy
• RevenueCat — subscription management. Privacy policy
• Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store payments.
• OpenAI (via Replicate / Groq) — AI insight generation. Training data opt-out is enabled.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not use analytics or crash reporting SDKs that identify you personally.

4. Your Rights

• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. All server data is permanently erased.
• You can export your data on request by emailing the address below.
• You can cancel your subscription anytime from the App Store. Your local data remains intact.

5. Children

Lightweight is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
